As we heard frequently this week, the Detroit Lions have not won a playoff game on the road since 1957. That streak is not ending this year.



Eye-popping plays by receiver Paul Richardson, poor run defense by the Lions, and some suspect officiating all played roles on Saturday night, as the Seattle Seahawks moved on to the divisional round of the NFC playoffs with a 26-6 win over Detroit. Seattle will travel to Atlanta to face the second-seeded Falcons on Jan. 14.



It was the fourth straight loss to end the season for the Lions, who are still looking for their first playoff win since the 1991 season, a nine-game postseason losing streak that is the longest in NFL history. Seattle, meanwhile, will be playing on the second weekend of the postseason for the fifth straight year and sixth time in the last seven.



I am a huge football fan. I couldn't even get into the games once yesterday!

I thought it was the most boring day of football in a long time! I am hoping today makes up for those two pathetic games yesterday!



The Lion's just slumped further into their slump. It's going to be a long long time before they get anywhere. Maybe they should change their name to the Detroit Manufacturers. It's more appropriate; there's no Lions in Detroit.



I'm not a fan of either the Lions or the Seahawks. Watching the game last night I think the Hawks would have won the game no matter what. Still, almost every call the officials made went the Hawks way. Someone would have had to have been blind and deaf not to notice it. The officiating was laughably one sided, in fact, I spent most of the game just shaking my head. I say these things as someone who really didn't care which team won. The NFL needs to clean up their act.
